Regulatory Protections

L’AUTORITÉ DES MARCHÉS FINANCIERS

L’AUTORITÉ DES MARCHÉS FINANCIERS (AMF) is the organization mandated by the Quebec government to oversee Quebec's financial markets and provide assistance to consumers of financial products and services.

The AMF oversees areas including insurance, securities, deposit institutions (except banks), and the distribution of financial products and services. It can also call upon self-regulatory organizations to which certain oversight powers are delegated.

The financial autonomy of the Authority is ensured by the contributions and fees paid by individuals and businesses subject to the laws it is responsible for applying.

WHITEMONT Financial Services and its partner advisors are subject to the regulation and inspections of the AMF.
